I stretch not my hand – R.K Das, Delhi
To scratch and disfigure the vegetation
And grab the soil of the moon of your sky,
All I wish is to feel the cool beams on my parched soul
And also to draw a silhouette
Of my abstract image on the surface-mirror of your heart.
I stretch not my hand
To tamper with the flowers and thorns of plants
Grown elegantly on your garden,
All I wish is to enliven myself
In the fancied company of fragrant pollens and petals.
I stretch not my hand
To pluck the glittering stars of your sky,
All I wish is to learn from them
The essence of their properties
That shall make me a starlet in your vast nocturnal sky.

The hand not stretched invites a loving hand to hold. Nice poem.
