Knots – Dr Maitreyee Joshi, Pune

imagesKnots in a smooth running string

And whirlpools in smooth running streams

Knots that prick and whirlpools that suck

And get you stuck in a circular rut

Knots may secure but knots that cannot be cut

And being gentle never makes them give up

Knots with equal measure of love and hate

Knots that neither unite, nor properly separate.

Knots that with patience themselves, release

Or knots old, that degenerate and then end in a break

Knots, tricky and knots, tight, with a catch 22 take

  1. “Knots that neither unite nor properly seperate…” This line with its objectivity, is simply great .
